The EPE Engine Guide is an Expedia Engines publication. Behind it sits Creytix — the platform Expedia Engines builds on. This page is the honest version of “powered by”: exactly what Creytix does for this site, and nothing it does not.
What Creytix actually does here
The brains behind this site
A content site needs three things from its platform. Creytix provides exactly these three — no more is claimed, because no more is used. There is no checkout here, so there is no pricing engine, no inventory system, no warranty desk, and no rewards program to credit.
The SEO engine
This guide exists to answer real buyer questions — "why is my engine knocking" — in Google and in answer engines. Creytix's SEO systems handle the structure that makes that possible: the sitemaps, the canonicals, the metadata, the llms.txt that answer engines read. We write the articles; Creytix makes them findable.
The design pipeline
The dark baroque ground, the gold accent, the serif display line — none of it was drawn freehand. It came out of Creytix's brand system: the same design pipeline that keeps every Expedia property reading as family without any of them looking like a copy. One visual language, enforced by tooling, not by taste.
The admin control panel
The guides, the symptom entries, the cost ranges — everything on this site is content, and content needs an owner, a review step, and a publish button. Creytix's admin UI is where this site gets edited, checked, and shipped. No deploy pipeline touched by hand.
How it works
A thin frontend. Creytix runs the systems.
What you are reading is a thin, fast frontend: static pages, one image, one font pair, one fade-in. It holds no accounts, no carts, no databases. Everything it needs to be found, to look like itself, and to be published and maintained — the SEO machinery, the brand system, the control panel — runs on Creytix, behind it. The site is the surface. Creytix is the building it stands in.
